I’m sure he threw his ten-cents into the world of invention but from my readings his talent was business. He had large teams of people who would make inventions and then he would just monetize them. 40 years prior to Thomas Edison! The reason Thomas Edison has the credit is that while he was hardly an inventor, he was a great businessman and worked by gathering patents. In 1879, he had already fixed these issues. Thomas Edison is credited with finding the solution to fixing the lightbulb so they worked more practically but really the credit here should go to the British scientist Warren de La Rue. People started their attempts to invent the lightbulb in 1800 (although they didn’t really work).
Thomas Edison is most credited for the invention of the lightbulb but he was actually a bit late in this game. So without further ado here are the top 5 reasons Thomas Edison is actually sorta the worst… Don’t get me wrong, I am American and I love America, but It’s time to expose the dicks that have credit for things they didn’t do. History is history but still, It’s nice when history is recorded right and the “American heroes” that they teach us about in middle school are exposed as being nothing other than a textbook ploy to make America look better. On a big picture does this really matter? No, not really. And if you like the history behind electricity then it’s important to know why. The point is though, is this goes far beyond just siding with Mr.Tesla, Thomas Edison was a certified dick. There’s this thing in the electricity world today where a bunch of “Tesla Bros” (I am assuming this refers to dudes who love Mr.Tesla) constantly attack Thomas Edison and then occasionally you have a few people who fight back and say they have no right to put Thomas Edison down. Thomas Edison was a very important key to what makes life how it is today, but I assure you he was not the big picture that many believe he was. Everyone has their place in life, everyone acts as a key to a bigger picture, whether they know it or not.
